New ORD Research Program Strategic Directions
See EPA’s PDF page to learn more about PDF files.
Beginning with FY2012, the Office of Research and Development (ORD) plans to restructure its research program into six major program areas: Air, Climate, and Energy; Safe and Sustainable Water Resources; Sustainable and Healthy Communities; Chemical Safety and Sustainability; Human Health Risk Assessment; and Homeland Security. This new research framework has the goal of developing a deeper understanding of environmental problems and informing sustainable solutions to meet EPA's strategic goals.
ORD has requested that the SAB work jointly with the Board of Scientific Counselors to review and advise on the strategic directions for the research program.
