EPA's Office of Research and Development has requested SAB consultative advice on plans to implement the Agency's Ecosytem Services Research Program, which aims to build on past research efforts in ecosystem monitoring, restoration, and functioning to develop operational methods for incorporating quantitative information on ecosystem services into decision making. The SAB's Ecological Processes and Effects Committee will provide consultative advice on the current direction of high priority areas of the Ecosystem Services Research Program and the specific research projects that have been undertaken.
