BACKGROUND
EPA's Office of Research and Development requested a consultation with the Science Advisory Board to obtain advice on Standard Analytical Methods to be used by all laboratories for responding to incidents that require rapid analysis. The Science Advisory Board undertook this activity as part of its effort to strengthen the science and research supporting EPA's role in homeland security.
