Alaska Performance Partnership Agreement

What's a Performance Partnership Agreement?

Since 1995, EPA and states have been working under a performance-based system of environmental protection to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of state-EPA partnerships. By focusing resources on the most pressing environmental problems and taking advantage of the unique capacities of each partner, performance partnerships can help achieve the greatest environmental and human health protection.

This Performance Partnership Agreement (PPA) establishes mutual priorities and performance expectations for EPA Region 10 and the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation.

The agreement includes specific commitments made by each agency regarding Alaska’s most important environmental priorities.
