Northern Ada County, Boise, Idaho PM-10 Nonattainment Area Plan Summary

Background of the Plan: The Ada County, Boise, Idaho, area was designated nonattainment for PM-10 and classified as moderate under the Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990. Idaho submitted a PM-10 attainment plan on November 14, 1991, and submitted a revised SIP on December 30, 1994. EPA approved the plan on May 30, 1996 in 61 FR 27019. (pdf, 46 KB, 5 pages)

Summary of the Plan: The plan relies on control strategies needed to assure attainment of the PM-10 National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS). The strategy focuses on control of residential wood burning.
