Brownfields Environmental Cleanup Program
This is a Brownfields Cooperative Agreement for the City of Toledo, Ohio to conduct environmental cleanup activities and mitigate a potential public health threat. The primary purpose of the cooperative agreement will be to complete remediation of petroleum contaminated soil and removal of associated underground storage tanks (USTs) at the former Chevy Transmission site. Contaminated soil and USTs will be removed for proper off-site disposal. The 5.5-acre site is located at 3199 Maplewood Avenue, Toledo, Ohio. The site will be cleaned up according to the Ohio Bureau of Underground Storage Tank Regulations (BUSTR) according to the Memorandum of Understanding between BUSTR and USEPA which will allow for safe and viable reuse of the property.
