Indian General Assistance Program
Build the capacity for the Native Village of Port Heiden to protect human health and the environment. Develop community adaptation strategies in response to projected climate change impacts and potential effects on our village and traditional life ways. Assess the sources of air pollution that may be impacting the tribal community to determine which (e.g. road dust, wood smoke, solid waste burning, indoor air quality, diesel emissions) are of greatest concern to tribal members and leaders and which are most likely to be able to be impacted through community action.
