Environmental Workforce Development and Job Training
This agreement provides federal funding in the amount of $200,000 for Cypress Mandela Training Center (CMTC) to recruit, train, and place unemployed and underemployed residents of Alameda County, CA in environmental careers with skills needed to safely conduct remediation work at solid and hazardous waste-contaminated sites, as well as appropriate training in wastewater management and chemical safety. CMTC will train 75 students in 6 training cycles.
