CAA SPECIAL PURPOSE ACTIVITIES - Indoor Environments: Reducing Public Exposure
In-school indoor environmental asthma trigger reduction education: 40 classes will be conducted for children in school to educate them and their teachers on the importance of reducing indoor environmental asthma triggers in their classrooms and in their homes. The in-home asthma management education activity will combine indoor trigger indentification and the development of an individualized trigger mitigation plan. By training children, teachers and care-givers in the recognition of indoor environmental asthma triggers, and how to use no-cost / low-cost methods to remedy them, the applicant will achieve their goal of reducing the incidence and severity of asthma episodes and death and improving the indoor environment.
This award provides full federal funding in the amount of $41,580.
