Students from the Youth Employment Partnership, Inc. (YEP!) Oakland and Charter School programs will be educated in classrooms and field experiences on local marine and costal environment, resources and ecology. They will also be learning about their local estuary and developing public awareness methods to educate local merchants and business on prevention of toxins in the Bay. These learning tools will provide the target audience of low-income youths with knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about their personal behavior and its impact in the Oakland Bay. This assistance agreement provides full EPA funding in the amount of $13,550. Preaward costs have been approved back to July 1, 2006.
