Project Title & Description
Assessing EcoService Tradeoffs - FL Ranchland H2O
This project builds on an existing project in the Northern Everglade to quantitatively estimate trade-offs between ecosystem services on cattle ranches—water and nutrient retention, biodiversity, forage, invasive species, and pests. It will produce data that can be immediately used in the design and implementation of an existing ecosystem services project that pays cattle ranchers for water and nutrient retention only. The grantees will also develop a decision-support tool that will be utilized by the existing managers and buyers in this in this critical ecosystem of national importance.
