Cottonwood Creek Environmental Justice Initiative
Create partnerships, educate the community, and improve resident health, quality of life and the environment by conducting and promoting the coordination of surveys and studies relating to the causes and prevention of air pollution, particularly CO2 emissions (and the pollution associated with the burning of fossil fuels to produce electricity) and surveys and studies relating to the cause and reduction of water pollution. Expected outcomes of the project include reduced CO2 emissions (and the pollution associated with the burning of fossil fuels to produce electricity), reduced incidence of adverse health effects due to poor indoor air quality, particularly asthma and mitigation of the threat to human health, local groundwater and creeks from on site sewage facility malfunctions.
