Project Title & Description
Creating Asthma Friendly Environments in NJ Schools and Child Care Programs
The purpose of this project is to develop and deliver an asthma friendly child care training program for environmental asthma triggers such as environmental tobacco smoke, allergens, pests and pets, vehicle idling, and bad outdoor air quality. Training will reach child care administrators, child care providers and parents of children in the child care programs. Funding will also assist to create an annual renewal process for public and private schools that previously received the Pediatric/Adult Asthma Coalition of New Jersey Asthma Friendly School Award Program, to continue to adopt updated strategies to improve healthier indoor air practices.
