Biostabilization of Rammed Earth for Construction
The project goal is to enhance the material properties of rammed earth (RE) used in construction by developing microbially indurated rammed earth (MIRE) using microbial biomineralization. This process would significantly reduce the atmospheric CO2 emissions and waste associated with the production and application of Portland cement.
