Project Title & Description
Zender Environmental Job Training 2013-2016
This project provides funding for Zender Environmental Health and Research Group to recruit, train, and place unemployed or underemployed residents from rural Alaskan Villages in environmental careers. They will be trained and develop skills needed to safely conduct remediation work at solid and hazardous waste-contaminated sites. The objective of this program is to provide rural Alaskans with a skillset to be employable within their local communities while empowering communities with local skills to mitigate their own environmental issues and providing a economic boost of local job creation.
