Advocating for Potable Water and Sewer in Texas Border Colonias
Project develops advocacy training for residents of Ft. Hancock residents who are seeking to improve their drinking water and sewer/wastewater situations. These colonia residents bear a significantly higher cost for obtaining safe drinking water especially as compared to their average income. Developing advocacy abilities in colonias residents is one of the most effective ways of addressing the environmental justice issues associated with safe drinking water and sewer systems
