Reducing Asthma Triggers in Western North Carolina

This action approves an award in the amount of $50,000 to the Mission Healthcare Foundation to fund 11 workshops to educate asthmatics, parents, school staff, health care providers and other community members on indoor pollutants, asthma triggers, and methods to reduce them. This project will also provide 50 home assessments to children enrolled in Mission's Regional Asthma Disease Management program.
