Development of Wetland Assessment Protocols in New York
The recipient will review wetland condition assessment methods, select and refine a protocol for use in New York and draft a field operations manual for assessing wetland condition. It will complete a statewide, Geographic Information System land condition and wetland buffer assessment. It will conduct wetland field sampling at selected locations in designated watersheds and will report on wetland condition. It will use these results to draft a statewide wetland monitoring program.
