Activities State & Local Air Pollution Control Agencies
NACAA is the national association of state and local clean air agencies and coordinates their air quality interests at the national level. NACAA is composed of state and local air agency officials and is supported by a small staff in Washington, D.C. At the request of member state and local air pollution control agencies, and with the approval of EPA, funds under the cooperative agreement support three major areas of work: services to members, liaison with EPA on aspects of Clean Air Act implementation, and liaison w/ other clean air stakeholders. Member services includes rapid communication of EPA regulations, policies and proposals; development and dissemination of supporting information and analyses; model air quality rules; coordination of membership position statements; and secure website and other electronic means for member communication.
