Project Title & Description
The Project targets elementary school students and teachers, grades 3-6, in six rural communities in SW Oregon. The project goal is to foster an ethic of stewardship for the protection and enhancement of natural resources and areas in the local watersheds. The objectives are to educate the students and teachers on stewardship by learning concepts of sustainable forest practices, habitat, food web, invasive species, etc., in the classroom and then exploring those concepts in natural areas in their surrounding communities. This project is an expansion of the existing "Watershed Rangers" Project.
