Project Title & Description
Learning Environmental Control of Asthma in Alaska Schools
The Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America's (AAFA) project will provide direct education to middle and elementary school students with asthma on managing their asthma, and identifying and controlling indoor asthma triggers. AAFA will use an existing program (Power Breathing) integrating hands-on learning, demonstrations, videos and games to educate school-age asthmatic students. In addition, AAFA will conduct outreach, training and education to the general public on indoor air quality issues with a focus on asthma in the greater Anchorage area in Alaska.
