Asthma and Pest Free Public Housing
This project seeks to address the high incidence of asthma among children due to the significant use of pesticides and incesticides by public housing residents living in Charlestown. In order to reduce asthma attacks among children and reduce exposure to air, toxics, the Committee for Boston Public Housing (CBPH) will educate families with asthmatic children. In addition, this project seeks to recruit, train and hire residents as Community Health Coordinators to conduct in-home training on Integrated Pest Management and provide families with asthma education.
