Project Title & Description
Madras High School Research & Stewardship Project
This grant will be used to engage Madras High School (MHS) students (highly motivated students in a high risk rural community) to undertake research/stewardship projects in their community. The program will provide 10 field days and 10 classroom sessions (90 minutes each) for 150 Madras HS students. The focus will be on ecological monitoring and restoration. Wolftree will employ mentor scientists, “real life” questions, state-of-the-art equipment training, and inquiry methods. This will serve communities that have limited access to quality programs in science.
