Bringing Environmental Science from the classroom to the field
The Newton Marasco Foundation, in partnership with Central High School, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, will conduct an environmental education program to educate students about the wetlands of St. Croix and develop their commitment to environmental stewardship. Students will conduct field studies and study the impacts of land use decisions. Experts will teach students how to study wetlands and act as research mentors. The Foundation provides guidance, curricular materials, leadership, naturalist experts, and incentives, including course credit, to enable students to complete and continue their study of the environment.
