Gulf of Mexico Program
This action provides funding in the amount of $245,672 to the Gulf of Mexico Foundation to determine the importance of fire in the maintenance of natural successional pathways and ability of marsh species to expand landward in response to climate change. Specifically, this study will investigate how the effects of prescribed burning will affect the ranges of individual species spanning salt marsh to upland pine forest.
