Demonstration of Randomized-design for Assessment of Wadeable Streams
The Central Plains Center at University of Kansas is implementing a biological assessment of wadeable streams of the central plains ecoregion, in cooperation with states in Regions 6 and 7of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The project involves a random sample of streams using biological, chemical, and habitat assessment protocols. Because of the use of a randomized design, the project will generate a description of the condition of streams throughout the ecoregion.
