Environmental Education Grant
This grant will allow the Grantee to provide outdoor environmental education field trips [20-25] to low-income students [approx 1200 elementary] at no cost to schools. Students will be taught health implications of air pollution, connection between lakes, rivers and streams and the drinking water that comes from their tap, learn about animal habitats, urban development and the importance of establishing national forests, parks and wildlife preserves. Environmental stewardship will be easily understood and knowledge retained at a higher level. Methods will include Project WILD and Project Learning Tree.
