Healthy Communities Grant Program
The Massachusetts Audubon Society (MAS) and the Blackstone River Coalition (BRC) will fully implement a campaign to make the Blackstone River swimmable and fishable by 2015. The Campaign will address water quality and land use issues in the Blackstone river watershed through water quality monitoring, education, and outreach. The MAS and BRC will collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies. The projects goal is to sustain the extensive volunteer monitoring program and reduce impacts from stormwater in Worcester, MA, Woonsocket and Pawtucket, RI.
