ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION - BioSITE Program
The San Jose Children's Discovery Museum (CDM) will expand their BioSITE (Students Investigating Their Environment) Program by enhancing the science education of elementary and high school students & their teachers through science inquiry activities focused on the health of the Guadalupe River Watershed. 3rd-6th graders in an after-school program, along with high school students, will engage in ongoing field studies along the banks of the Guadalupe River to develop basic field study techniques, pursue inquiry-based science investigations and interact with professionals scientists as they learn about the watershed.
This assistance agreement provides federal funding in the amount of $39,800. Pre-award is authorized back to October 1, 2008.
