Urban Waters Small Grants
The objective of this project is to improve the water quality in, access to, and amenities for Bear Creek in Denver and Sheridan, Colorado through job training, commuinity education and outreach, and the development of a Community Stewardship Network. The project will engage youth from these communites in a Master River Steward (MRS) job training program. Stewards will particpate in water quality sampling and engage the broader community through education, outreach, stewardship activities and recreation activities in the watershed. Outputs including job training hours, water quality samples collected, households and businesses reached, volunteer hours, and stakeholders joining a Community Stewardship Network.
