Project Title & Description
Targeted Watershed Initiative Program - Sierra Water Trust
This project will develop the capacity of selected groups in the Sierra Nevada watershed to use water rights acquisition as a tool for restoration of water quality and aquatic resources. These groups will also be trained in watershed assessment methods with an emphasis on hydrologic functions. Finally, development of case studies in water rights acquisition will help refine understanding of the process, such as technical, legal and administrative requirements; information needs; and length of time to complete the process.
This agreement provides full federal EPA funding in the amount of $304,078 to support this project. The total approved project cost is $405,438.
Pre award costs are approved back to January 15, 2008.
