Project Title & Description
San Francisco Bay Area Water Quality Improvement Fund
This project targets take-out food packaging, which is the largest documented source of trash in urban runoff that in turn ends up in our bays and oceans. The project will assist local jurisdictions (Oakland, San Francisco, San Jose, South San Francisco and San Mateo County) to develop source reduction methods for their local businesses and will provide model approaches for municipalities to meet their trash reduction permit requirements.
This assistance agreement provides full Federal funding in the amount of $257,293.
