Coronary Effects of Combustion Source Particulate Matter
The study will investigate indicators of risk for sudden cardiac death and alterations in blood vessel physiology caused by exposure to combustion-source (diesel exhaust) particles and associated gaseous co-pollutants in a mouse model of coronary vascular disease. Cardiac and pulmonary function and changes in blood vessel physiology will be assessed in mice with cardiovascular disease and normal mice exposed to two levels of diesel engine exhaust.
