Coalfield Justice Contamination Project
This project will focus on awareness and testing for lead and mercury poisoning among residents in rural coal camp communities. The targeted population will be low-income families residing in homes built by the coal companies in the early 1900's. Residents of this rural neighborhood will be provided literature, house calls and the opportunity to attend meetings that will focus on the prevalence and consequences of lead and mercury contamination.
