Project Title & Description
Invasive Plant Prevention and Control, Grand River Watershed
This project supports the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative and the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement, pursuant to Public Law 111-88. Specifically, this project will involve the control of invasive plants on 531 acres of floodplain, bottomland hardwood, and wetlands in the Grand River watershed through an integrated approach focused on the Grand River main stem and priority tributaries. The work will include early detection and rapid response, targeting threats at their source, and providing aid to ongoing partner management projects within the watershed. The project will help restore degraded habitats and protect those that remain in good condition.
