Detroit River AOC Habitat Restoration - US Steel Site
This project supports the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative and the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement, pursuant to Public Law 111-88. Specifically, this project will restore 1,100 feet of shoreline, 1.7 acres of emergent wetlands, 750 feet of rock shoal, and create an acre of fish spawning area in the Detroit River Area of Concern. Additionally, approximately 4.6 acres of upland habitat will be restored adjacent to the shoreline.
