Project Title & Description
Wind Hollow Foundation Project
1. The first element - The project will involve the testing of dilapidated, abandoned housing, mostly dating between 1900-1960, located in the Anadarko, OK area. Testing will identify areas of public health concern - primarily under the Toxic Substances Control Act 1976, particularly asbestos and lead based paint.
2. The second element of the program will address a lack of awareness and the skills deficiencies seen in the local Minority Small Business Building Contractor population by WHF accessing training in the disciplines of asbestos, lead and mold removal. This will allow the residents and vulnerable population to be equal partners in the environmental justice aspects of this project.
3. The third element is community education using public awareness campaign.
