Remediation of Contaminants in K-12 School Environments
The School Chemical Cleanup Project will be implemented state wide in Alabama. Frequently, schools are not aware of potential hazards such as mercury vapors, lead dust, asbestos, and mold. The Waste Reduction and Technology Transfer (WRATT) has the expertise to identify these hazards and recommend environmentally-safe solutions. Since most schools operate on tight budgets, WRATT will recommend energy conservation measures to reduce operating costs.
