Environmental Justice Collaborative Problem-Solving Program
The Puerco-Little Colorado River Watershed Navajo Community-Based Uranium Water Quality Assessment Project will: (1) conduct inclusive and culturally-grounded strategic planning to guide public education and policy on uranium contamination, (2) sample as many water sources as possible in the Puerco and Little Colorado River watersheds for uranium and other contaminants, and compile local use and exposure information for each sources, and (3) conduct public education to share test results. Tolani Lake Enterprises and partners will build on existing knowledge, identify concerns, raise awareness and expand collaboration to identify concerns and solutions for contaminated water sources.
This amendment revises the budget and project period start date from 10/01/14 to 8/15/14. The federal funding amount of $120,000.00 remains the same.
