Project Title & Description
IMPLEMENTATION OF IN-THE-GROUND CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS
Lake County Storm Water Management Commission will implement three in-the-ground construction projects. The Seavey Ditch Dam Removal and Channel Stabilization project entails removing a three-foot high metal and concrete dam that impounds 1,150 linear feet of stream channel. The project includes a stated and sequenced dam removal, riffle and pool installation for grade control and channel stability, streambank stabilization, and riparian buffer restoration. The Cambridge County Park Detention Basin Shoreline Restoration project converts 2,000 linear feet of failing turf grass shoreline to native wetland and prairie. The Buffalo Creek Streambank Stabilization project will stabilizes 3,500 feet of eroding streambanks on Buffalo Creek and unnamed tributary at the Buffalo Grove Golf Course.
