Linn County Iowa Community-Scale Air Toxics Phase II
Linn County Health Department will conduct Community-Scale Air Toxics monitoring to determine the impacts of acetaldehydes in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa, area. Sampling will be continued, from a previous award, to quantify the ambient impacts of exposure to acetaldehydes and better correlate the results of measured to modeled outcomes. Linn County will conduct a risk analysis using the data collected under both grants, develop voluntary and regulatory measures to reduce cancer risks to the exposed population from acetaldehyde emissions, and conduct community outreach.
