Evaluation-Mobile Source Emissns & Trends
On-road vehicle emissions of gases and particles will be measured at a highway tunnel near San Francisco using two instruments the two-dimensional gas chromatography and a new high-resolution time of flight aerosol mass spectrometer. The resulting high time resolution data will be used to generate source profiles for gasoline and diesel engines as well as a fleet-average emission factor. Results will be compared to measurements taken in 1997 and 2006.
