Project Title & Description
West Valley School District - Advance Placement Environmental Science Course
The project will create an Advanced Placement Environmental Science course at the West Valley High School. The project will provide the students with the opportunity, knowledge, and skills to get into college to pursue environmental science education and be environmental students in their schools and community. Thirty students will focus on restoring and maintaining fish habitat within the Yakima River watershed. Students will also be required to present what they have learned to younger stewards and community members. Students will take the AP Environmental Science exam in an attempt to earn college credit for the course or advanced placement at the college level.
