Project Title & Description
School Cafeteria Waste Stream Reduction
Per your application request dated April 3, 2010, this cooperative agreement is being awarded to provide funding for the Brass City Harvest (BCH) Program. They will be partnering with the Childrens Community School of Waterbury, Connecticut, a private, nonprofit pre-k to grade 5 school that offers low-to-moderate income parents an alternative primary educational opportunity for their children. The size of the student body (133) and the demographic make-up are representative of Waterburys ethnically diverse population which makes them an ideal partner with whom to establish a model program of cafeteria waste recycling.
