King County DNRP Transfer of Development Rights
Transfer of Development Rights (TDR) is a land preservation tool that uses market forces to protect natural resources in exchange for increased development capacity in urban areas. King and Pierce Counties and and its partners, through this project, will provide successful models across a variety of city and county types to show how local governments around Puget Sound can use TDRs to protect key natural resources in a cost effective manner.
