Community Scale Air Toxics Ambient Monitoring
According to the 2002 Toxic Release Inventory, Linn County ranks fourth out of all counties in the United States for releases of acetaldehyde into the atmosphere. This grant will allow Linn County to monitor and gather data to better quantify and characterize acetaldehyde concentrations and potential emission sources. Linn County suspects that fermenting facilities such as ethanol facilities may be the main source of the acetaldehyde emissions.
