Project Title & Description
FY 10-11 CWA 205(j) & 604(b) Water Quality Planning Grant
NMED submitted a multi-year work plan for FY 10 and FY 11 to provide assistance to NMED with water quality management planning activities in the Middle Rio Grande and Cimmaron River watersheds which includes the completion of Total Maximum Daily Loads(TMDLs) in these watersheds. The funding will also be used to develop Nonpoint Source Pollutant strategies to reduce loading of E. coli on the Albuquerque Middle Rio Grande (MRG), for the water quality management planning and management of the project on Burn Lake, and for facilitation services for the MRG watershed-based MS4 permit pilot planning team. This action will also extend the grant budget period by one month to allow completion of all work plan tasks.
