County of Erie New York Beach Sanitary Survey Project
This project's primary goal is to protect the public health of bathers by restoring and maintaining the biological integrity of two Lake Erie beaches, in Erie County, New York. The sanitary surveys and subsequent pollution mitigation efforts will focus on two creeks that empty into Lake Erie at these beaches. The intent of this project is to identify bacterial pollution sources affecting the beaches and too reduce or eliminate these sources to improve public communication and outreach regarding the associated public health hazards.
