Greening the Operating Room Reg. 1, 4, & 7
Per your application request dated May 5, 2011, this cooperative agreement is being awarded to Health Care Without Harm. These funds will provide educational materials and training opportunities to help hospitals institute environmentally sound practices in their operating rooms, resulting in reduced solid, hazardous, and regulated medical waste. The project will also result in improvements in water and energy efficiency. The project efforts will take place within EPA Regions 1, 4, and 7.
