Baltimore Community Environmental Partnership Air Committee Technical Report. Community Risk-Based Air Screening: A Case Study in Baltimore, MD

The project was an air toxics screening study that consisted of an emission source and monitoring data inventory. The study used health-based screening air concentration values; in multiple screening-level iterations they compared the screening values to monitored and modeled air concentrations to determine which of the toxic air pollutants risk estimates exceeded one-in-a million excess risk or noncancer hazard quotient estimate exceeded one for the maximum exposed individual (MEI).
